The Clueless icon marked a milestone birthday and her only child is all grown up
The actress celebrated the milestone birthday on October 4, 2026, more than three decades after she became one of the defining faces of the 1990s as Beverly Hills teen Cher Horowitz.
And while Alicia has barely changed since the days of yellow plaid skirts and knee-high socks, one person in her life certainly has – her son Bear Blu, who is now 15 and looks just like his famous mom.
© Getty ImagesAlicia shares her only child with her ex-husband, musician Christopher Jarecki, whom she married in 2005. The couple welcomed Bear in May 2011 before separating in 2018.
The actress has regularly given fans glimpses into her close relationship with her son over the years, sharing photos from their travels, sporting events and days spent together at home.
The resemblance between the pair has also become increasingly noticeable as Bear has grown up, with the teenager inheriting his mom’s bright smile and features.

Last year, Alicia admitted she could hardly believe how quickly her son was growing after the pair recreated a memorable scene from Clueless together ahead of his Bar Mitzvah.
The actress had already been taken aback by her son’s dramatic growth spurt a year earlier, revealing in September 2024 that Bear had become more than three inches taller than her.
Their mother-son bond has occasionally crossed over into Alicia’s work too. Bear made a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in her 2025 Netflix festive movie A Merry Little Ex-Mas, appearing as an extra alongside one of his friends during a sledding scene.

After beginning modelling as a child and landing early acting work, she made her movie debut in the 1993 thriller The Crush. She then became an MTV fixture after appearing in Aerosmith’s hugely popular videos for Cryin’, Amazing and Crazy.
But it was 1995’s Clueless that made her a global star, with Alicia’s portrayal of kind-hearted fashion obsessive Cher Horowitz turning her into a pop-culture icon at just 18.

And as she enters her sixth decade with a flourishing career and a now very grown-up teenager by her side, the former teen queen appears to have plenty to celebrate.
